there’s something about gratitude – about stopping for just a moment and thinking about that which is going well or that which is still in the midst of a chaotic whirlwind. i think it’s too easy to rush through life packing and moving and working and sleeping and forget about the importance of breathing in His grace. it’s all around us, you know.
the sunrise exploding color into the sky and laughing until your stomach hurts and tears fall down your face – these are gifts. i haven’t been faithful in writing mine down, and i hope to start again. i need to be reminded of His goodness. i need to immerse myself in His heart for me.
only then do i think i’ll begin to fully understand the depth of His love.
counting with ann…
0113: sleeping in on sunday mornings
0114: turning 29
0115: hammock in food trailers and pedal powered blenders and gardens combining for communal simplicity
0116: prayers on walls – i give it all away
0117: friends and their example of dying to self in order to gain all of Him
0118: free wifi
0119: quiet moments in coffee shops
0120: crossing more off my fifty{before}thirty list
what are you thankful for today?

So glad you found free wifi last night. It was so good to see your faces. I’ve missed them.
it was so good to see your face. for reals.
Oh and by the way, this:
“i think it’s too easy to rush through life packing and moving and working and sleeping and forget about the importance of breathing in His grace. it’s all around us, you know.”
yeah. you know.
#0115 is cracking me up. i <3 you =D
#0117 is about you as well. we love you guys. thank you for striving after Him in everything you do.
we love seeing you guys live life too. glad we are family.
Today I’m thankful for:
being late for work and realizing everyone else was late as well so all of a sudden it wasn’t so bad
going to a friend’s band show and loving every second of it
being able to buy mom something she wanted for awhile now (my birthday is on august 16 and I always give her something for MY birthday hahaha)
reading the scriptures in a more disciplined way and suddenly being all over this awareness of His presence in everything
black tea with lemon
my ipod’s never-ending battery when I needed music the most in order to put up with stupid traffic
I could list things I’m thankful for forever
good to hear from you!
hugs!
“being late for work and realizing everyone else was late as well so all of a sudden it wasn’t so bad”
I like this one because I do it with my boss. Not that he cares if I’m running late, but I feel more at ease if he’s not here when I am.
It is such a bliss, isn’t it?
I felt all those crazy butterflies in my stomach (in a bad way!) and then stepped in the office and there was just me. Waaaa
oh I hate being late. totally understand the relief you felt in that moment
Ha, tell me about it… my ex boss was a control freak, I found myself sitting by my desk having Jigsaw thoughts about him thousands of times!
I’m thankful for someone helpful at WordPress!
